« Healthcare Innovation: EMR's and Data Quality | Main | How Blockchain will Deliver Value »

As I sit here in an EMR training session for my physician group, I couldn't agree more. I love having an EMR that works seamlessly and allows me to access patient info on my iPad as I walk through the hospital or answer a question from my home. But we still have paper charts everywhere, which is sometimes the only location where some very important information (like EKG results) can be found.

Does the EMR improve patient care? Like you said, who knows.
Does the EMR make my job easier? In its truest sense, yes, but with requirements handed down from our billing department due to insurance requirements, not so much.
